A visit to Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre

A visit to Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre Event June 21, 2023 By Safe Haven Foundation Today some of Members from Safe Haven Foundation visited Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre in Kinondoni District, Dar es Salaam to help the Centre, as there are 600 patients undergoing Rehabilitation. Out of 600 patients, 400 patients are from Kinondoni District and age groups of 10 – 19 years. They all require regular therapy. The Antonia Verna Rehabilitation Centre focuses on Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy as well as Psychotherapy. Most of these patients are of cerebral palsy, autism and mental disorders. They’re taking care of these patients because a lot of people tend to have a stigma about children with disabilities. This is a key population left ignored and even on SRH issues. The Safe Haven Foundation aims to help them but also to give education on SRH, because most people with disabilities tend to be the victims of Sexual Violence and Abuse. . We also call out other stakeholders to join us to make sure we help as many patients as possible. You can write to us via: info@safehavenfoundation.or.tz  or register by clicking HERE. Empowerment Support for Feasibility and Sustainable Development

Empowerment Support for Feasibility and Sustainable Development Success Story May 5, 2023 By Safe Haven Foundation Safe Haven Foundation aims to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. We address the challenges we face in our country, including those related to poverty. In Zanzibar we have a program to support young girls who did not get the opportunity to go to school and those who dropped out from school due to different reasons. There’s a saying that says; “Give a person a fish and you feed her/him for a day. Teach her/him to fish and you feed her/him for a lifetime.” So, Safe Haven Foundation has given support to some of the young girls in Zanzibar though weaving and help them to find the appropriate markets for their products in order to make their life better. There are a lot of young girls need support across the country, but unfortunately we can’t reach them all. We ask you to join us to help us reach as many girls as possible by buying their products Write to us by clicking HERE! Changia (DONATE) SAFE HAVEN FOUNDATION
